I go to the movies a lot. Saw "Argo", "Life of Pi", etc. etc. All good movies. This one, though, is the best. I loved, LOVED, LOVED it! I am telling everyone to run, not walk, to see this flick. You will not be sorry. It's an all-time top ten fave for me in my lifetime, it's that good!!!!
Silver Linings Playbook is a solid, well-acted romantic dramedy that is not as independent or original as it thinks it is. It is predictable and cliched, although never boring. The two leads are terrific. Worth seeing, but not the groundbreaking masterpiece it has been made out to be.
Just saw the movie, and Bradley Cooper and Jennifer Lawrence in particular are well cast in the acting department. Worth checking out, as its a more "adult" movie that seem to be getting fewer and fewer these days.
The basic story line was formulaic, with the element of mental illness thrown in. On the other hand, the acting was top notch. Could make a good date night pick.
