Editorial Review

American honeymooners Joan (Julie Bishop) and Peter Allison (David Manners) find themselves trapped in a Hungarian castle after Joan is injured in a train crash. For company they have mad Dr. Vitus Werdegast (Bela Lugosi) facing off against his archrival (and the castle's owner) Hjalmar Poelzig (Boris Karloff), who is also the head of an evil religious cult.
