I liked the movie a lot, but I've laughed harder before. Most of the time I didn't laugh at a part everyone else did because I felt so bad for everyone in the movie. Bad thing after bad thing happened to them. I think comedy is usually funniest when you can relate to it, but I think it is quite possible this hit too close to home. I could very well see something like this happening to me or one of my friends in Vegas. But overall a very good and funny movie with an excellent cast. I've been a fan of Zach Galifianakis since Out Cold. I recommend that anyone who hasn't seen it yet (which is pretty much no one) to see it. But you could wait until it came out on DVD since you've already waited this long.
Alright, twice now the Balls has asked the simple question about whether anyone else noted that the Chinaman who jumped out of the trunk seemingly had no genitals. An honest question from the humble BalledMan. Now he must shout: DID ANYONE ELSE NOTICE THE APPARENT LACK OF GENITALS ON THE CHINESE GUY? Thanks for your continued assistance. Just a thought. HB
I loved this movie! It doesn't consist of stupid kid humour. The main characters are all in their mid-30's or so. It has intelligent dialogue, with a mildly plausible script. I plan to see it again!
if you've ever been on a trip anywhere with the guys... you'll appreciate this movie. It's just plain hilarious.
Definitely not a movie to take your folks or kids to. You have to appreciate a serious Vegas binge to truly grasp the obscure hilarity. Plenty of uncomfortable moments to catch you off guard, but the sophomoric plot is sure to leave you anxious for whats behind the next turn. I would absolutely see it again.
I rarely say I'd pay to see a movie again, but if I could share this one with a friend, I would. These guys are trying to hide the fact that their bachelor party is in Vegas, where they get so drunk, that they lose the groom. It's really funny when they pick up a black fellow in the trunk by the same name as the groom. And, finally, they all show up looking clean and innocent for the real wedding, and it seems the bride and her family never know the better.
Ok -- I'm a middle aged liberal woman and I haven't seen anything this funny since ... maybe The Big Lebowski. The trick here is that each actor is, in completely unreal circumstances, being very real. Add in some hilarious one liners and sight jokes and you've got a real winner. Do not hesitate to see this, if not twice, at least once!
If you are looking for something hilarious, easy to watch and not think too much, this is the movie for you. I spent the last 2 hours laughing so hard I nearly peed my pants. The kind of funny that you can really relax and just purely laugh for the stupidity of it. Sure there are plenty crass and even questionable moments, but hey people this is not Les Miserable. It’s a dumb comedy that is meant to appreciate for what it is. The whole movie theater was cracking up and I suggest you don’t drink any soda or you will pee in your pants, or worse have to go to the bathroom and miss something :) Enjoy!
Sounds to me like Iffin has great potential to be a movie critic for the Amish Country Times. *Spoiler Alert* It's a crass movie, it's not a production at The Shakespeare Theater. The movie trailer doesn't try to sell it as anything else.
I liked the film, but the "shock value" of the nudity does not tickle my funny bone. The rest of the film was hilarious, I just could've done without those scenes.
Then why did you see the movie? It's obviously not your type of humor!
I saw the Hangover with a packed house this weekend and have to say that I laughed to the point of tears. Just plain fantastic.
The takes old school into overdrive!!!
Plus overlooking that one of the characters is a potential (or actual)child molester/stalker is a must if you want to enjoy the movie too. The list goes on. .... Take out morality, and you've got the WashPost review. How mind-numbing of the Post.
