Disappointing

I went to see this film in Downtown DC on Saturday night, braving traffic and parking challenges, mostly based on the Post's glowing review. I usually see artsy films, which I love, at our local independent place (Cinema Arts), but they didn't get this flick. I tried, tried, tried to get out of this picture the same vibe the Post reviewer had gotten but it just did not speak to me as it did to her. Maybe 3 stars for stunning visuals and some suspense but there were just too many unanswered questions and hanging story lines. And believe me, I love a movie with no shoot-em-ups or special effects and lots of quiet human angst. But this one just did not deliver. Not 4 stars, anyway.
