The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2

Average Reader Rating

over at last

I have enjoyed the journey as an experience with my 14 year old niece; also the books were easy reading. Nonetheless, Its regrettable that once cast, the other movies were " stuck" with Stewart as Bella and Pattinson as Edward. If only Stewart could act, then the saga may have been bearable but she just could not pull off the teenager so much in love that nothing else mattered. Pattinson never changed his acting but then he did portray a vampire- stuck in time as is. Luckily most of the other Cullens could act and did a good job of making the movie a piece of worthy entertainment. I would be remiss if I didn't comment that Lautner did a good job as a teenager obsessed with someone he could not have. Well, it is over now .

The End of All Things

Agreed. Most will say 'Thank God it's over!' - others (much younger others) will cry hysterically. I will be sad that there will be no more hilarious film reviews on this series by drunken Finnish film critic Kimmo Mustonenen... Google: Twilight Saga Breaking Dawn 2 and Kimmo Mustonenen

What's the appeal?

Never could understand what those guys see in Bella. Granted, she's not bad looking, but she has no personality! No charm, no wit, no nothing. Just dull, dull, dull. And yet she's got these hunky supernatural guys willing to kill and die for her? The only way to watch these movies is with Rifftrax commentaries.

Seemed like a good idea at the time...

You know it SEEMED like a good idea, but in the end it was just very attractive people making bad movies.

It's Finally Over!

This is some of the worst writing I have seen. The chemistry is bland, the actors look like they aren't even trying, and the special effects are poor at certain points in the film. I've never came so close to falling asleep in a movie theater. Between this film, Lincoln, and Skyfall what person in their right mind would choice to see this one? I'll give this film one thing. The action scenes are decent. But saying that is like saying the cheese on your burger is the only thing not covered in mold. Skip this film. There are two far superior movies out right now. Give Spielberg support for spending ten years researching Abraham Lincoln. If you want a better vampire movie go rent Daybreakers. Better romance? Titanic.

tooo cute.....

@msjioanne1 Awwwwweeee, ur so cute! I love the fact that you really enjoyed the movie. I'll go see it just because you were excited about it. I read all the books, so I unfortunately have to see the movie, to see how true they stayed to the book. Also, I'm taking my daughter. We both read the books and started seeing the films. We started all this about 7 years ago. she was 14, now whe's an adult at 21. We kinda making it a finale for our journey too.

Well MattBlanc what do you know about Taliban? I am not here to support them, but one thing I will definetly like to tell you that Muslims are not like that what you people think they are, Muslim men do dominate Muslim women, but it's for their protection(in every perspective) and care. But you, no doubt are free to say whatever you feel like saying, I just wanted to clear such perception of yours, so no offense at all :]. coming to Breaking Dawn-2, it's undoubtedly the best part so far, Twilight fans, just go for it!!!

What are these movies telling young girls?

If you're looking for role models for your little girls, don't support these movies. The lessons here are: sex is brutal and turns you into another person, and you as a girl have to change yourself entirely to be with someone you love. And as a victim, you will be fought over by powerful men who have control over your destiny. These stories could have been written by the Taliban.

Twilight Breaking Dawn

I think Breaking Dawn is soo fun to watch out of all of them I think this is the best one yet. Not only in Part One did Bella die and then wakes up in the end as a vampire with her eyes red as fire but Jacob finally imprinted on someone who he was about to kill because the baby killed Bella because in my opinon Jacob was going to fall in love anyway but Bella and Edward protects their daughter in Breaking Dawn Part TWO, when the Volturi comes after Renesmee' and her aunt Alice saw it. I think Bella really kick some Volturi (vampire) butt in that movie becuase of my famvorite part when Edward picks her up by her shirt and swings her around and Bella kicks her foot out and bashes the Volturi in the face but everyone wants to know was it Aro?
