Festival of Lights
The annual festival embraces Christmas with lighted grounds and a live nativity scene outside and nightly music performances, an international creche display and decorated Christmas trees.

Only faithful members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints may enter the Mormon Temple, but the visitors center, which overlooks the temple grounds, is open to all. The Washington temple was dedicated in 1974.
