Everyone knows Beethoven and Brahms, but how about Lukas Foss and Elliott Carter? Every year the National Gallery of Art presents classical musicians performing new and familiar works by American composers. This year's concerts honor "The Robert and Jane Meyerhoff Collection: Selected Works." Clarinetist Richard Stoltzman and pianist Yehudi Wyner kick off the four-concert series Sunday at 6:30 p.m. with music by Wyner, Carter, Bernstein, Foss, Reich and Gershwin. Plan to arrive an hour before the concert to get a seat. The next concerts in the series will be Wednesday at 12:10 p.m., Nov. 29 at 6:30 p.m. and Dec. 2 at 12:10 p.m.
