One of the National Symphony Orchestra programs to engage younger audiences, this performance features children's poet laureate Jack Prelutsky as the narrator. He has a playful sense of humor: Just consider his book "Be Glad Your Nose Is on Your Face and Other Poems." Mary GrandPre's fantastic illustrations of animals (14 in all) will be projected on screens as the orchestra performs. An instrument petting zoo begins an hour before each performance and, after the later performance, the musicians will host a question and answer session. Best for age 5 and older. At the Concert Hall.
