Great show by Fly Gypsy and extra bonus got to see the new video.. Well done. Cant wait to see show again!
I saw the first Fly Gypsy show in Baltimore. It was brilliant, refreshing, and unlike anything I've seen before. I will definitely be at the show tonight in DC. FLY GYPSY!!
I absolutely LOVE this band. Both the Russian "one-man-band" and the Jamaican word-smith add so much to the world of hip hop. I love the richness of the instrumentality. The Baltimore show was hot! I'm glad DC will get to enjoy them. I can't wait to hear more from them.
I couldn't believe what I was witnessing. The migration of various musical styles by region with HIP HOP!! WHAT the? The business woman in me says "DAMN, that's hot!" But the fan in me says, "Thanks for keeping me on my toes!!"" WHOA!!! I grooved all nite. This new sound crosses age barriers like no other before it. I am 38 years old and was jamming to these grooves with people 15 years my senior. It was AWESOME!!! There were at least three generations in the house and not one of us was disappointed. HA HA!!! Thanks KOM, you are an entertainer!! Can't wait to catch you guys again!
The future of music is finally here! I saw these guys perform in Baltimore and all I could say was "finally!" They've got talent, they've got good looks, and above all they've got talent! Kom's lyrics are catchy and fun to the regular music fan, but are quite insightful and offer great commentary to today's societal issues. Alexei's ear for great music drew me in from the beginning and made me a fan for life. All i can say is- don't deny yourself the pleasure of witnessing the Fly Gypsy live experience!!
Fly Gypsy is a breathe of fresh air to the music industry! As a lover of "real hip hop" they embody the essence of hip hop from start to finish. I was at the Baltimore debut and will be at the next show in DC this Friday! They will forever have my support. They are a group that deserves to be seen my millions and they will be!
Aahhhh!! That' what my ears and spirit say after listening to Fly Gypsy's music. My ears are not bleeding and I can still dance to this music. My mother wouldn't have a conniption either, but probably get up and two-step with me! Seriously, these guys are bringing adult sexy to Hip Hop (thank the lawd, cuz I'm done with Lil' Youngs trying to shoot me and sex me all in the same song). Kom's lyrics are sicker than swine flu and Alexei's one-man-bandedness and production is genius. Seeing them live with the full band is beyond a treat. Hip Hop thanks you. Fly Gypsy IS that new dope!
i came all the way from New york just to see the show.between the verses that brought me back to better days, and the unique mix between the Russian and Jamaican vibe.. the show was full of energy and had me standing with the whole time.. hands down GREATNESS !
I HAVE BEEN A FAN OF FLY GYPSY SINCE THE BEGINNING. SEEING THESE BROTHERS RELATE MUSIC IS A PHENOMENAL EXPERIENCE. THESE BROTHERS ARE TRULY GIFTED AND GIVE THEIR ALL WHEN THEY ARE PERFORMING. THE LIVE SHOW THEY DID IN BALTIMORE LEFT ME WANTING MORE! I CANNOT WAIT TILL THE DC SHOW!
I have been following Fly Gypsy since around July. Fell in LOVE with their single "You". Saw them Live in Baltimore at Eden's Lounge, the show was excellent! What hip hop group performs with a Live Band, or actually has band members who play intruments?! Fly Gypsy is a blend of what's missing from hip hop and what hip hop needs right now...can't wait to see them again!
You don't see acts like this every day. A live band with a dope sound! dope vibe! They keep it sexy for the women, still lyrical with a laid back style that fellas can rock with. Alexei is crazy on the instruments. I have never seen someone play all those instruments so well like that and Kom is the truth. Dude got lines and mad energy. He goes in! Fly Gypsy is heat man. I see these cats going real far...real talk.
These two are geniuses! You've never seen a performance like a Fly Gypsy performance. I've been watching Alexei and Komplex do their thing solo for years- i shouldve known how explosive their collaborations would be. I'll be there!
I attended the albumn realease party for Fly Gypsy in Baltimore and it Was unbelievaBle. The vibe that these gentlemen had was so humble but yet exciting. They kept you on your feet the whole night. I enjoy them becaUse they haVe a NeyO souL but yet puNk rocK rythmn to there MusiC. Which is right up my alley. I loved the performance, the Lyrics, the band, and the Love they showed there fans. Hands down they are truley on a move.
We saw Fly Gypsy in Baltimore and they were straight ELECTRIC! Everyone was on their feet the whole time jamming! Lyrics and Guitar were rockin! Energy and crowd interaction were great too! This is how you handle ya business!
Their sound is so unique its hard NOT to pay attention. From the music to the lyrics Fly Gypsy is defiantly on fire. I enjoyed their positive vibes during the show and after, truly something that should not be missed! LOVE :-) Melz
I have NEVER been to a hip-hip show like this. They had Rock songs and acoustic songs and straight up Hip hop w Alexei scratching while Kom is rhyming. Every song had me. Even the new ones I hadnt heard before. They put so much heart and feeling into their performance it just draws you in. Then they had outfit changes and guest artists anda lot of crowd interaction. Unlike a lot of hip hop acts who arent as engaging , these guys obviously put a lot of work into putting together a truly memorable performance. And lets not forget the belly dancer! OMG! Fly Gypsy is the only band I have ever seen combine a belly dancer, guitar solos and a crazy bouncy hip hop flow all one one song. Very innovative, very hot! I was amazed!
Fly Gypsy's Baltimore show at Edens Lounge was off the chain. Both Kom and Alexei were full of energy and kept the crowd jamming. In additon to the great music, I totally enjoyed the "girl challenge" they incorporated into the show. Looking forward to an awesome DC show as well.
I saw Fly Gypsy in Baltimore a little over a month ago, and it was hands-down, the best show I've been to in a while. Apart from great music and amazing energy, the duo's producer/one-man-band is a great fun to watch as he multitasks on turntables, keys, guitar, bass, and bongos (and does SALSA!!). Oh, and the belly dancer . . . you have to be there. :) Check out the footage from their Baltimore show: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XbS_WWPM4QI and the live montage at http://flygypsy.com/dc.
