Metal heroes of yesteryear are still at their headbanging best. With Whitesnake and Pop Evil.

Judas Priest was fantastic. From 'Rapid Fire' through the rest of 'British Steel' and a medley of hits from their vast catalog, Metal God Rob Halford and his bandmates brought fans to their feet. These talented seasoned pros showed why they continue to set the bar high for any aspiring metal acts. Songs were tight, led by Glenn Tipton and K.K. Downing's twin guitars, supporting Halford's still impressive vocal skills. Metal rules and Judas Priest is king. Priest saved a night that began with a performance by Pop Evil, who displayed flair and potential. Next was an overlong, painful set by KIX, who were clearly out of their league. As last-minute replacement for Whitesnake, they should instead have been last resort. They were awesomely bad.
