Editorial Review

Named for the eighth Secretary of the Smithsonian, this copper-topped round building seems small from the outside. But descend a spiral staircase and you'll find a gallery, performance space and offices.

Discovery Theater, an educational children's theater company, performs on the third floor. Performances run Tuesdays through Friday mornings, September through July. See http://discoverytheater.si.edu for more information.

Performances and lectures organized by the Smithsonian Associates Program often take place in the building as well. The International Gallery offers changing exhibits.

Administrative offices for the Smithsonian Institution Traveling Exhibition Service, the International Center and the Smithsonian Associates are also housed here.
