Casper Bangs -- formerly of the Hard Tomorrows -- writes jangly, wistful indie-pop songs. Ra Ra Rasputin is more on the dance punk/hot chip-meets-Depeche Mode tip, and is a solid enough on stage to get a 9:30 Club crowd dancing (no small feat). The two groups don't have much sonic overlap, but they're teaming up at the Black Cat to celebrate the release of their new albums. Jaguar Club opens.
