Slumberland Records 20th Anniversary Party

Editorial Review

The indie-pop label was originally based in Washington, D.C. releasing cult favorite singles by revered indie-pop bands such as Velocity Girl, Lilys, Stereolab and Black Tambourine. It eventually relocated to San Francisco, during a time when bands such snotty-punks Boyracer and girl-group-savants Aislers Set called the label home. Slumberland came back to life in 2007 with "Grown-Ups" by British twee band the Lodger, and has proceeded to release albums by acts such as ramshackle-pop quarter Cause-CoMotion, shoegaze revivalists Crystal Stilts and indie-pop classicists The Pains of Being Pure at Heart

The full lineup for tonight's reunion show: Crystal Stilts, Brown Recluse, Pants Yell!, Frankie Rose & the Outs, the Ropers, Nord Express and Lorelei.
