Cloak and Dagger at the Signature Theatre in Arlington is beautifully staged, acted, and sung, and a colossal piece of tripe. It's too bad that so much talent has been wasted on a play that is nothing more than a series of one-liners. The jokes aren't even funny, because they don't develop out of a real, compelling story. For two people, I spent about $190, about twice what a much better show would have cost at a dinner theater. Save your money! Why can't the Signature manage to buy good original scripts? At its old remodeled body-shop location, the theater's shows were much better.
