Dizzy Miss Lizzie's Roadside Revue is back with a musical about the talented Victorian-era sisters. Part of the Capital Fringe Festival.
I haven't seen this show - I'm averse to hot, humid, and tents - but I am holding out for the restaging down the road. The last two shows, Oresteia (2009) and Finn McCool (2011) were restaged at Keegan and Woolly. I love this troupe of minstrals and the teens in my family dig them, too. Cannot wait for the staging down the road.
I couldn't get enough of this play's modern take on the famous Bronte sisters and their family. Hang on to your seat as you get to be a fly on the wall with Emily, Ann & Charlotte Bronte & their brother Bramble as the play explores the dynamics of this famous family and what it might have been like for these brilliant literary women to grow up in the repressed Victorian age. All told through a great rock and roll score and brilliant acting. Don't miss this clever and fun play!
