National Memorial Day Parade Editors' Pick

Military units, bands, school groups and floats are featured in this parade, as well as veterans from past wars. Participants include two famous World War II veterans: baseball Hall of Famer Bob Feller and actor Ernest Borgnine. Admiral Michael Mullen, the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, serves as the parade's reviewing officer.

The National Moment of Remembrance will be observed at 3 p.m. At that time the parade will pause for one minute and buglers will play taps in honor of fallen soldiers.

The parade will begin at 2 p.m., at the corner of Constitution Ave. and 7th Street NW, then proceed west down Constitution Ave., and end at 17th Street.
