Probably a concept most of the patrons are intimately familiar with, the Bottom Line is a downtown, corporate, suit and tie, drinker's bar. You'll realize this as soon as you descend the steps into this basement bar.
Simply decorated, with maybe the exception of a wooden Indian, the Bottom Line lets its patrons focus on the business at hand, which is drinking with a little socializing and eating on the side.
The menu here is surprisingly large, though a trifle dull. Almost all of the burgers, sandwiches, salads and Mexican dishes are under $10. A fairly decent happy hour runs here during the week, 4 to 7 p.m., with varying specials on beer only. As might be expected in such a corporate environment, there is a large selection of fine Scotch whiskeys. An excellent place to throw back a stiff one, but don't bring your dancing shoes during the week -- DJs come out on Saturday nights.
