Tiki Tuesday

Beer/spirits tasting

Editorial Review

Don't expect much in the way of island vibes outside of your glass - the Adams Morgan coffeehouse hosts a live jazz band on Tuesdays - but the beverages might just take you away. In addition to the usual rum concoctions, Tryst's menu includes some bourbon-based recipes, such as the tangy Eastern Sour. But in the rush to order a Fog Cutter or Scorpion Bowl, don't overlook the original creations. Eustache the Monk, which comes in a ceramic hula girl glass, is spicy and pungent, mixing chartreuse and falernum with Smith and Cross rum, lime and pineapple juice. The wallet-friendly cocktails cost $8.
