When it comes to tasty and great food, not diminishing the full energy of the lounge atmosphere or the great outdoor patio, head up to the Tex-mex place on U Street corridor, Alero. My girlfriend introduced me to this Mexican place where we enjoyed the smoking fajitas and the high quality cadillac margarita on the rocks. Our server was very attentive and provided us a memorable and oustanding service.
You can find a place with better food and better serivce. A pitcher of ice water was spilled on me and I had to call the manager over. His response was this happens and he walked away. Terrible. Do not visit this Alero. They do not deserve your business. If you are looking for mexican food this place is neither authentic or memeroable when it comes to quality.
I really like Alero. The Happy Hour prices are good, otherwise for Mexican food they are expensive. The Matrimonial Margarita is a definite must!
