Went here on Sunday with my husband and the youngest of our three boys, who is 3. The waiter was sooo nice to us. Totally went out of his way to make sure our boy got the hot chocolate that he wanted and gave us lots of the tatsy french bread & butter. My husband and I each had 2 glasses of wine - I a Malbec & he a Pinot Grigio. They were quite drinkable and well-priced. We were just out for a snack so we ordered a few plates of appetizers. The pate was fabulous and the dressing on the salmon salad was great. We liked the food a lot, but were most impressed with the kindness of the staff toward our little boy.
Been going here for years. Have always been a huge fan of both the food and the service, especially. I'm intrigued by those who complain about the service: in my experiences the staff has been loved by those they like - many return customers - and disliked by obnoxious buffoons. Unfortunately, DC is filled with the latter.
