Happy Escargot and Mussels at Brasserie in Easton

Our daughter-in-law and I ordered the Escargot and were overwhelmed with how good they were. We sopped up every bit of the sauce with the best bread. My husband and son ordered the mussels, which I ordinarily wouldn't touch. Superb!!!! I kept going back for more. Quantity more than ample. Loved it.

Good food but stingy with the details.

My husband and I made a reeservation at Brasserie Brightwell for 6 pm on Sunday, Sep. 4th. He had lobster salad and the small plate of lamb cheeks. He declared both very good. I had the steak frites--also good. But all the details surrounding the meal were stingy--water came in a bottle (obviously tap water dressed up). No ice. No bread for the table. Had to ask three times to get enough bread to sop up the (very good) sauce that came with the lamb cheeks. Literally one ounce of catsup for the frites. Coffee comes in a little cup that holds maybe 4 ounces. A glass of wine fills maybe half of the rocks glass it's served in. Very stingy.

Brasserie Brightwell showcases very good food as well as a very positive restaurant culture through it's staff. Under the current management the Brasserie could be four stars however, four stars is a hard sell for the Eastern Shore.
