The menu continues the Cafe Asia formula, offering Japanese sushi (decent), Vietnamese spring rolls (better) and Thai coconut milk soup (ignited with wild ginger and green chilies), among the many possibilities.

You can't beat this places prices for sushi or pan-asian food ignore the overly priced poisers in G-town Asia Cafe is a local happy hour hang out the place can get noisy but you never have to worry about the food every thing is delicious. If you are looking for good food at an affordable price Asia Cafe is the spot. If you want a quiet resturant or overly priced pan Asian food go elsewhere
This place has all the comfort and charm of kiddies’ romper room in an underground garage. It's loud. No, make that LOUD. And by that I mean REALLY LOUD. Itty-bitty stools and itty-bitty tables and not much else to the decor. Search in vain for a chair with a back. Sit underneath the exposed ceiling pipes which drip water. Try to find a menu not mottled with food stains or one that still has all its pages. And if you’re a large party (as was mine), be sure to sit at the rickety round table in the corner where you'll laugh as your drinks lurch and spill across the table surface. No one in my group found the food worthy of even perfunctory mention. Or maybe we said something and were too deaf to hear?
Cafe Asia is one of my favorite DC restuarants. The food is delicious at a great price. No matter what you order - whether it's the sushi or other Japanese dishes (the tempura and chicken teryaki are my faves), the Chinese food, including a great lo mein dish, the Vietnamese dishes, or the Thai food, you simply cannot go wrong. The atmosphere may be lacking a certain flair, with the uncomfortable chairs and stools and the unisex bathroom, but the quality of the food and the price make up for it times ten.
