As a coffee lovers who have lived in Vienna for 25 years, Caffe Amouri is the best of both worlds. The owner and staff are very friendly and extremely knowledgeable about coffee, helping us to find roasts that are to my liking. There is a wonderful community feel to the place and it is located in the center of town. There are various events that take place including music and the new Penny University that has different themes every week. The coffee is phenomenal and rivals more expensive coffee and it is roasted on site so it is very local! We love this place. Check it out.
Finally a cool little, low-key coffee shop in Vienna VA. When I stumbled in I wasn't sure, but have been back many times since to pick up a cup or hang out to talk with people.
Caffe Amouri is what a cafe should be - friendly with excellent drinks all around - the beans are carefully selected by the owner who is a 'coffee geek' and are fresh-roasted in the cafe, making for truly excellent coffee, espresso is the best I've had (whether Vienna, VA or Vienna, Austria - really worth checking out!), and the other drinks are much better than the over-sweet gunk that many other places serve. It's a good place to visit if you're on the W&OD trail or driving by in need of a treat (love the crumb cake myself), and it's a great addition to the town of Vienna and NoVA area. The Penny University series they have running now is yet another distinction - lots of other activities as well. Kudos all around!
Caffe Amouri has spoiled me for other coffee shops - primarily because of the freshly roasted coffees, and also because of the great service. The owner (who roasts the beans in-house) is super knowledgeable about coffee and can help you pick out just the right kind for your tastes. The cappucinos and macchiatos are perfect, and the pumpkin latte is above and beyond any at other places. Also awesome are the drip coffees or the special "hand pour" or French press styles. Sandwiches and pastries come in handy if you're hungry. And the Italian sodas rock. Unlike some other coffee shops, there's a great vibe going on. Not too loud, but not so quiet that you're scared to make a sound. Definitely the best place to get coffee in the NoVA are
In just over a year, Caffe Amouri has become woven into the fabric of Vienna and an integral part of our community. FABULOUS coffee; friendly staff; fresh roasted beans on site; Friday night fun; support of charitable community events and I could go on. I always see people I know in there and even if you are not from Vienna, extremely welcoming cafe. Michael Amouri's passion and knowledge of coffee amazes me and he always has a smile on his face. He should; he's got a great thing going.
It's rare for a business to establish itself this well and this quickly, but Caffe Amouri is THE place to go for coffee in Vienna (and people come from miles around to enjoy coffee roasted on-site). Michael also supports the community in many ways - from hosting fundraisers for charity to hanging student artwork.
Hate to date myself. But Caffe Amouri reminds me of the coffee shops in Greenwich Village way back when. Updated ... yes; much better coffee; but a place to hang out, connect and relax. Michael Amouri has done a great job of establishing a community presence and value. Go hang out.
The beverage samplings are just the beginning of all Caffe Amouri has to offer. There is a genuine spirit of personalized quality coupled with a devoted commitment to the community, and this combination makes Caffe Amouri a unique coffee spot well worth the visit!
It's a pleasure to walk in to Caffe Amouri any time of day. Everyone is friendly, the coffee is great. Highly recommend a visit.
