Editorial Review

After several years of bringing fashion-forward footwear to U Street -- and being one of the few D.C. shoe stores offering men something beyond same-old Diesel and Camper -- Carbon opened a new Woodley Park boutique in September 2006. Larger than the original, there's more room for women to browse the Tentazione and Sciapo heels or drool over the Biviel and Frye boots. Guys can pick through the selection of "lifestyle - dress" shoes that can smoothly transition from the office to a cocktail lounge, with Bronx and the edgy Dutch Blackstones looking the most promising for fall.

The shop is open late -- until 7:30 Tuesday through Saturday -- for after-work browsing.

Spring 09 !!

I Stopped by what has become my favorite shoe store, Carbon. The Spring selection has shown up and looks, and feels great. I was shooting for something unique and comfortable. Carbon did not let me down. The owner and his wife have bought some great stuff for the new season.

A collection of beautiful city friendly, stylish and unique shoes - (there, did I cover it)! Brands I have never seen, but have quickly learned to love. The owner tries to avoid trendy overpriced labels opting instead for quality, comfort and style. The anti mall - Nice work Carbon.
