It's 12:30 and the restaurant was almost empty. The food looked appetizing, but fell short. The iced tea was not flavorful; it tasted stale. The coleslaw looked appealing but contained a poor choice of seasonings. Dessert was not as good as Sara Lee's. Did the original chef leave? The old Mezza 9 restaurant gave customers a feeling of spaciousness because there were separate tables. There is now very little room for a private conversation in the leather back-to-back booths. The new restaurant's decor is dark not rich looking. On the plus side, the wait staff were very pleasant and accommodating.
I have visited this location for lunch on several occasions and have only tried salad. The salad is very good and other items on the menu look appetizing.
The best restaurant in Rosslyn HANDS DOWN. Wonderful service, great tasting menus and great prices. Also, the location a few steps from the metro.
