Editorial Review

Originating in Point Reyes Station, Calif., the Creamery makes its American Cheese Society award-winning cheese from from pure organic milk, and its creations can be found on the menus of some of the Bay Area's best restaurants, including Zuni Cafe, Chez Panisse and Boulevard. The D.C. shop will feature the store's own cheeses, including the Red Hawk, a striking red-orange cheese and the St. Pat, a seasonal spring cheese that is wrapped in stinging nettles.

The Creamery will also stock its own creme fraiche, fromage blanc and cottage cheese, along with other producers' cheeses, charcuteries, breads, and, eventually, wine. The store will have a special tasting bar.
