Originating in Point Reyes Station, Calif., the Creamery makes its American Cheese Society award-winning cheese from from pure organic milk.
The D.C. shop features a curated selection of international cheeses as well as the store's own creations, including the Red Hawk, a striking red-orange cheese and the St. Pat, a seasonal spring cheese that is wrapped in stinging nettles.
The Creamery also stocks its own creme fraiche, fromage blanc and cottage cheese.
Pack a picnic of house sandwiches, local preserves, charcuterie and sodas. The shop also stocks a small selection of wine and vats of California olive oil.
