Sadly, with so many great restaurants in DC, I cannot imagine why anyone would pick this place to go for dinner other than its kid friendly. As I looked around at the other patrons the night I went for dinner (10/9/09), I think its safe to assume that most were tourists who had no better clue about other options in the city. I would put this in the same league as Olive Garden, but for 4x the price.
We had theater tickets at the Warner Theatre and dined here. The service was okay, but the quality of the food was very mediocre and nothing special. The caesar salad was terrible with dressing that tasted like mayonnaise. The bread was just like the kind we purchase at our local grocery chain. Our pasta was sitting in a pool of oil and our dessert (medley of sorbets) had obviously been plated and placed in the freezer long before serving it as it tasted like it had freezer burn. All in all, it was a disappointing experience and a little pricey given the lack of quality cuisine. We'll look for another restaurant next time.
