Housed within the National Press Club, the restaurant is open to members and non-members alike.
The Fourth Estate has only been open to the public for a few years - it was only open to National Press Club news men and women members. It is a delightful restaurant where you are surrounded by wonderful Washington history. The food is very, very good and the prices are really lower than most "white tablecloth" places around town. You'll see photo galleries of all the famous people who have spoken or entertained at the National Press Club - actors, politicians, kings, dictators, etc. - and, if you are lucky you might spot Tom Brokaw, George Stephanopoulos, Gwen Ifill, or any of a number of infamous congressmen and actors.
