Gaffney's Oyster and Ale House has moved from Ballston to Bethesda. Don't worry -- they brought the raw bar.

What a great bargain gem in Bethesda. The wait staff makes you feel instantly at home. The wonderful guitarist Bob Tublin always delivers a fine performance. I recommend the omlettes, free - flowing champagne, the relaxing atmosphere and then a stroll through the co-op next door. A GREAT way to spend your Sunday morning.
I was really surprised by the review below. If I'm ever in the Bethesda area, Gaffney's is the only place I go. In fact, I'll be there tonight having one of the best burgers in DC.
Made our first visit last weekend. Food/service/ambience all second rate Definitely not worth a second visit
