I've been eating at Ghana Cafe for 12+ years (started at the Adams Morgan location) and have always been happy with the food and found the staff is always very friendly. Prices are reasonable and the African beers are great!
In response to "Horrible food, if u know what u really eating", I want readers to know that the author, Helene Wido Traore, a Guinea national, was arrested together with her friend for failing to pay their check. Both were arrested after 911 Call to MPD. First, Police arrested her friend about five blocks. Her friend, who did not have money on her, in turn, called Ms. Traore after being detained. Ms. Traore returned two hours later after changing clothes from white to black top. Police forced them to pay for the food and Greygoose and cranberry drink. She asked police: "are you taking my friend to jail?" Police responded "yes". Facing with being threatened with jail, Ms. Traore paid.
