The 7 of us waited only a bit for an 8pm reservation. The first round of drinks after we were seated took a while, but the paced picked up after that. The best part of the meal was the starters-- a variety of flavors, well presented, but small portions so not super easy to share. The main dishes, especially Lamb Vindaloo and Fish Stew, were delicious. The servings were generous. I ate the biggest shrimp I had ever seen! My only complaint was that the servers had no system for remembering who ordered what. The instead just called out dish names and we raised our hands. The facilities are lacking a bit -- the stairs are treacherous when servers are bounding up them with plates of food; the ladies room was in disarray.
The food-setting and overall experince was as always the best, been to the best rated Indian places in DC and NY but Indique stands out in a class of it's own. Our experince always has been very good.
The food and service are bad. The chef is from South India and most of the menu items are South Indian. They make a mess of whatever North Indian dishes they serve. Stay away from Aloo padi chaat. I would not waste my money eating there.
It's a nice place. The service is pleasant, but slow. The waits to be seated can be very long. The food is good. When they first opened, they were great, but lately, they appear to be coasting. Still worth eating here, just not as good as it once was.
