A bustling trattoria does simple dishes well.

I ate there years ago and had a wonderful rosotto-and my husband & friends went back for long chatty lunch with delicious pasta and good wine. Low key but lovely service and enough formality to know it is a special time/ Will return.
It's such a shame for this horrible restaurant to occupy such a great location. Went here for dinner the other night after the wait for Bistrot Du Coin proved too intimidating. The service is cold and the waiter tried constantly to get us to upgrade (you want sparkling water, appetizer?, wine). While this is expected, this waiter was relentless. Then the food: I ended up with three quarter sized pieces of rubbery veal. This was inexplicably paired with MASHED POTATOES. And INSTANT mashed potatoes at that. My date got gold, watery pesto pasta with no zip whatsoever. Each of these pathetic entrees cost over $18. Do yourself a favor and skip this place. Clearly it gets by on its great location near several hotels.
