Diamond in the rough
I live near Adams Morgan and in the winter lack the motivation to brave the cold and wander too far from the nest but think all the colleg-y dive bars are less than entertaining...drunk 21 year-olds spilling beer on my dress is not my cup of tea. Leftbank has a great vibe and is one of the only upscale places in the area. For dinner they always have really great, fresh seafood and the prices aren't bank busters. Their sushi happy hour is a steal and their martini's are strong...plus the DJ's play a cool mix of hip-hop and european style house and dance music for late night. I've been in a couple times for brunch and its such a relaxing alternative to the other much louder Adams Morgan options. My favorite Adams Morgan hangout!
