If you don't know where in Tysons Corner Center to find Luciano's, you just might miss it. The tiny Italian eatery is tucked away in the second level's Lord & Taylor wing, between a Hair Cuttery and Beadazzled. Though it might look like the stepchild of a food court pizzeria, Luciano's actually is a homey restaurant that serves a variety of Italian dishes and provides a nice respite from the mega-chain restaurants that dominate Tysons I and II.
The interior brings to a mind an Italian villa -- the front of the restaurant features painted stone arches with faux vines trickling around the edges. The theme is repeated with a number of real plants hanging from Luciano's ceiling.
Though most diners tend to opt for sandwiches or pizza if they're taking a quick shopping break, the menu also includes calzones, plenty of pastas, and meat, seafood and vegetarian entrees.
Luciano's also has a take-out counter where mall-goers can grab a slice of pizza or ice cream and head back into the trenches.
Luciano's has two additional locations, in Oakton and Herndon.
