The DC Murky closed because the owner is a tax cheat - over $425,000 owed. The Clarendon store is finally out and making way for new, hopefully, more attentive owners. The indifferent and sneering coffee counter creatures that ran the place can now jerk themselves a coffee somewhere else. Word to the new owners. Don't bring anyone from the old staff back work work for you and please clean the bathrooms.
Not clean nor well managed. I am glad they're leaving. Arlington deserves better.
commongrounds was a lame christian coffee shop. murky was tastier, with average coffee prices for above average product, but with lame patrons and a crappy dirty space. i dont care who owns the new space, just clean the bathrooms and serve good coffee.
this place was wonderful as Common Grounds, went downhill as overrated, overpriced Murky Coffee. Glad to hear it will be reincarnated, hopefully good again. Best wishes to new proprietors.
