Within walking distance from the Dupont Circle Metro, this cheery, clattery little pizzeria serves simple and pure pies.

The pizzas here are fresh and delicious. The fresh buffalo mozzarella and fresh tomatoes are a hit on any of the pizzas. Also, the oven roasted garlic was a delicious starter while we waited for lunch.
I'm hooked on Pizzeria Paradiso! Each time I get to DC I have to have it. And on most occasions I have the pleasure of introducing this gem to those who have yet to dine there. In each instance my dinner guest walk away raving. The cozy atmosphere, the excellent service, but most importantly the outstanding wood-fired pizza with fresh ingredients and the superb crunchy crust make this place a must. And, the long waits at the P Street location should be alleviated once they move. I have only encountered one person who said they have experienced better pizza - and she had it in Italy! Enjoy!
P Street is charming, small, not over-run with tourists and G'townies. Great wood-fired pizza, I always try the special. And the olives are a nice touch.
I had heard great things, so was excited to try. The pizza was "so-so"...overpriced and not nearly as fabulous as Red Rocks in Columbia Heights. The place is small and crowded - throw in some loud kids and it almost makes it hard to hear your own voice. The waitstaff was friendly and attentive, but I will not be back anytime soon.
I've grown up on Chi-town pies but nothing touches Pizzeria Paradiso, best crust, fresh toppings, friendly staff & incredibly amazing beer selection-Beer & Pizza, how wonderful! P St staff so attentive & the "old" oven adds amazing flavor. M St (with birreria) more eclectic & imaginative. Hear that P St is moving to bigger place; shorter wait? Can't wait! Just the best pizza place in DC, hands down.
1. Noisiest restaurant I have EVER been in. All bare surfaces. Restaurant architect emergency !! 2. Mediocre crust, skimpy toppings. 3 Poor wine selection. 4. Staff rushed us. Not just one staff member but three. If the rating system permitted it I'd give this 1 1/2 stars.
