What started as a Howard Johnson's before becoming a Big Boy was transformed into Plato's Diner in 1994 to serve nostalgia to young professionals, families and the college crowd. Heaping platters of eggs, home fries, and bacon, sausage or scrapple ($6.79-$6.89) are served alongside diner favorites such as meatloaf and country-fried steak, both less than $12 with soup or salad, a potato, and a vegetable.
