This quick crepes spot offers Illy brand coffee and house-made gelato.
Tucked away between K and L Streets, Point Chaud's a 'blink and you'll miss it" kind of a place. The young ladies who take the orders speak with eastern European accents and have an old world style of charm. I half expect to see a classic Vespa parked out front. Coffee includes specialty drinks made to order. Ambiance wise, this is a solid spot to read the newspaper, socialize or relax. The setting gives the feeling that they want you to stick around. What's the hurry DC? As for the crepes, pretty much every flavor's available, sweet or savory. They're made to order, and taste like heaven. The portions are generous for a crepes place, the prices reasonable (about $4-6 per). I'm a fan and hope you will be too.
