This little pizzeria, from the owners of Tonic, offers a variety of gourmet pizzas in three sizes (12, 16 and 18 inches). Though pricey for pizza, the choices, with names like Piaggio and Vespa, arrive with delicious, fresh toppings. Several pies come without tomato sauce and include pesto toppings and varieties of cheese. Shrimp make a pleasing topping, but the standard Piaggio with cheese, basil and tomato is the best order. While the cheese and toppings at Radius are pleasing, the crust is something that needs work at Radius. It just does not possess the right flavor or consistency. As a lover of pizza crusts, I was surprised to have a plate of leftover crusts at the end of my dinner. The overly chewy crust does not taste doughy. It had a cardboard-like taste without any familiar floury essence.

In addition to pizza, Radius offers several salads and some tasty garlic bread. The exposed brick walls are lined with bottles of wine, game shows play on the television behind the bar and the helpful staff offers suggestions on beer and wine selections. Though the pizza is not something I'd go out of my way for, the bar is a perfect spot for solo diners looking for a comforting meal or to watch Jeopardy with friendly strangers.
