Rosa Mexicana in friendship heights is horrific. The Quesadillas are filled with cheeze with no one piece of grilled chicken. rice was hard and undone,They are extremely expensive, and give you very little food. If your're looking for good mexican food, Stick with Adams Morgan. I will not be returning. Im sick of complaining to the manager, Ive eaten their about three times, and still the results are bad. I would suggest that Rosa Mexicana make sme major changes in that kitchen withthe competition in the surrounding area. I would not recommand to anyone. I would like my money back
Location, Location, Location! Across the street from the Verizon Center makes it a great place to link up for a pre-game drink or meal. The food is unique - pay attention to the "specials" menu - they're bringing in guest chefs with a neat spin on Mexican. A very nice change from the usual burrito, taco, enchillada, etc. fare you can get anywhere. Cocktail menu is extensive; we didn't try any of the fruity things, but the Mexican beer is always good, and my wife likes the traditional margaritas they serve up. The Post review is from 2004 - things have changed in 8 years - give this place a try! The one thing that hasn't changed is the tableside guacamole - it's expensive, but it is a treat and you can't beat the freshness.
