In the old Post Office building for zone 9, the restaurant offers postal-themed drinks and an eclectic-tinged American menu.

There had been so much buzz about this place so I decided to give it a try given that I decided not to go to clubs in 2k9. I thought that it wasn't going to be your typical black club given that at the front they didn't search you with that metal detector, I was fooled. When you get in the door they search you with it like airport security. Second, i heard the first floor is the restaurant part of it and it was dead They need some life there with some pool or darts. Upstairs had a dance floor and the crowd no different than you Fur or Ibiza crowd. The decor needs some work on and the drinks are pretty expensive and only three beer choices Heineken Bud light(Yuck) and Corona. Lux lounge and Love s***s on this place!
Went for a birthday dinner and everyone enjoyed their food no major complaints. Moderately priced and there was ample amount of food, except for scallops but they were still good. The only complaint was we had about 3 waiters throughout the night and the awkward table set-up almost with a pole splitting up the group but we rectified that without a problem. Would not recommend the lounge/club, VIP seating only and drinks suddenly sky rocketed in price.
i went on a weekday evening. I like the food. the waitress was polite but the service was slow and it seemed like things were a bit disorganized.(my date and i arrived before 5-10 minutes before the threesome behind us but we were served after them). the decor was kind of different, if you have a keen eye you'll see some clues to its post office history. i've heard it turns into a pretty good club at night so i'll have to go later in the evening and see how it does. ~Lennon
I concur with the comments regarding the rude and deplorable staff at Station9. Do they all take a class in "how to be rude and nasty to patrons" before they can start there or what?! I attended on Inauguration weekend and at a time when we are supposed to be celebrating unity, hope, and change...we have to deal with complete disrespect for patrons who have paid up to $80 to attend. The staff treated me and my friends like we were dirt on the bottom of their shoes and to me that is unacceptable. I will be reporting them to the better business bureau and I suggest that others do the same. They don't deserve to be in business.
I decided to try this restaurant to see if it could really give Zanibar a challenge, but they failed miserably. The food was mediocre and there wasn't anything special about the display. The restaurant seemed to have been there for years and it was a bit dingy. The chef was very friendly; however, he was extremely loud and distacting... forget having an intmate/relaxing time here. I will never back for brunch again. I love Zanzibar and I will never cheat on her again.
