Who cares if it's not cheap, who cares if you have to abide by the city of Silver Spring's parking ordinance. Tastee Diner is a classic American experience and the food is actually not bad. Either Tastee is on my list of good, greasy food and rude, elderly waitresses. That's an experience, man. The whole place is an experience, and I suppose the Washington Post quote from many years ago applies: "If you don't get it, you don't get it."
With no drink? I'd have been twice as satisfied at half the price if I'd gone to the McDonald's across the street from the Silver Spring Metro Station. It was a good sandwich, but for $7.95 I expected it to come with fries. Instead, they charged me three bucks for them. Bad move. Never going there again.
My daughter attended a party at Tastee Diner on May 12 and they towed her car while she was in the resteraunt. If you eat here they may tow you too.
