Editorial Review

On a good day, you can smell the Madness. Chicken Madness that is, the most requested sandwich at Weismiller's, the official lunch spot for hungry Georgetown students. Affectionately called Weisey's by the locals, this 36th street storefront is primarily a grocery store offering everything a struggling student needs: milk, beer, bread, soda, cigarettes, wine, chips, ice cream and more.

Follow your nose and the sound of sizzling treats to the heart of the establishment, an eternally busy grill manned by upwards of five chefs. The overhead menu features hot and cold sandwiches, bagels, fries, chicken fingers and almost anything else that can be fried. The California chicken sandwich and Burger Madness are popular alternatives to the Chicken Madness.

Since eating is a full-time gig at a university, there is always a line and you can expect a ten-minute wait at most times of the day. There are no seats or tables in Weismiller's, so your best bet is to call ahead and get it to go. Most sandwiches come with chips, a pickle and soda.
