Tim Carman compared Z-Burger's burgers to other local patties for an article in the July 9, 2008 Food Section: Price and weight: $2.99 for single, $4.09 for double; 3.5 ounces per patty. Meat: A blend of ground sirloin, chuck and brisket, with 20 percent fat. The source is a company secret. Bun: A sesame seed bun custom-made by a local bakery. Atmosphere: Industrial playground. Verdict: These burgers follow the major-league baseball model: no juice. The condiments and soft, sweet bun do all the work, particularly because Z-Burger does not season its patties before throwing them on the griddle. The owner hints that this may change.
A great informal burger place - definately try the shakes as well! 75 flavors of shakes from standards such as oreo, to more unusual such at PB&J. A great atmosphere, with good burgers and veggie alternatives. Fries are good and they give you a bezillion.
