Anacostia Park's 1,200 acres are dedicated to recreation. The park includes Kenilworth Park and Aquatic Gardens, Kenilworth Marsh, ball fields, picnic areas, basketball and tennis courts and the Anacostia Park Pavilion, which hosts special events and roller skating. The pavilion is open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday-Friday, and 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays.During the summer, the swimming pool and marinas are open. The Langston Golf Course boasts an 18-hole course and a driving range. Three concession-operated marinas, four boat clubs, and a public boat ramp provide access to the tidal Anacostia River for recreational boating.

Directions: The park stretches from the Prince George's County border to South Capitol Street at the Frederick Douglass Memorial Bridge, largely in the area east of the Anacostia River and West of I-295. The Langston Golf Course is on the west side of the river. There are park entrances on Howard Road, Good Hope Road and Fairlawn Avenue. Between Memorial Day and Labor Day traffic on Anacostia Drive is one-way.
