The Bethesda home furnishing store has relocated to a sprawling, 7,000-square-foot space on Arlington Road, in the heart of Bethesda Row.
With the new space comes a fresh look: industrial architecture (concrete floors, exposed ductwork), an expanded design studio and merchandise that's more classic than country. Customers will still find the club chairs, storage pieces and sectionals, but the lines will be cleaner, the upholstery greener (80 percent of the selection is eco-friendly) and the color palette more subtle (light blues, browns, creams, butters and beiges). But the most noticeable -- and welcome -- change: "You can finally see everything," says owner Rachelle Roth. In the old space, she says, "it was easy to get lost in the sauce."-- Terri Sapienza (April 2008)
