"Raft," an all-black sculptural installation by Jeff Spaulding, features a heap of color-coordinated found objects collected by the Washington artist in an evocation of the famous 19th-century painting "The Raft of the Medusa" by Theodore Gericault. It suggests the flotsam of a consumption-crazed culture.
