A CHANCE TO COMPETE
Pinball wizards and casual players alike are invited to next weekend’s Fairfax Pinball Open, which will have separate tournaments for experienced players and amateurs, based on skill level. Most competition involves playing head-to-head on a variety of pinball machines; qualifying play for seeding begins at 3 p.m. on Feb. 24, and runs from 1 to 4 p.m. on Feb. 25, with tournaments on that evening and Feb. 26.
Friday features a competition for two-person teams, with both traditional play (four players competing to get the highest score) and a variation where the team plays a game with each member working a different flipper.
Entry and registration fees range from $10 (novices) to $15 (the “A” players). More information is available on www.virginia
