NEW YEAR’S EVE
Special beers at Meridian Pint
For those who just want to grab some beers with friends on New Year’s Eve at a bar without overpriced champagne and cover charges, Meridian Pint is the place to be. This year, the Columbia Heights bar is hosting a three-course meal, but for those who don’t want to partake, it will be business as usual. The bar will have special beers to mark the occasion as well as a complimentary champagne toast at midnight. It’s a casual yet festive way to usher in 2012.
Saturday from 7 p.m. to 3 a.m. Meridian Pint, 3400 11th St. NW. 202-588-1075. www.meridianpint.com. No cover.
