Screen on the Green
Every summer, one of our favorite free festivals invites you to bring a blanket and watch Hollywood classics on one of the best green spaces around: the Mall. Yup, we’re talking about Screen on the Green. This year’s festival begins Monday with “Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid,” the 1969 classic starring Robert Redford and Paul Newman as the famed robbers on the run. Screenings in coming weeks: “It Happened One Night,” “From Here to Eternity” and “Psycho” (not the Vince Vaughn remake, thankfully).
At dusk. The Mall between Seventh and 12th streets NW. www.friendsofscreenonthegreen.org .
